Cem A. is an artist and writer based in Berlin. He is known for his collaborative performance formats and for running the art meme page freeze_magazine. He has a background in anthropology.

His formats include Crit Club, which since 2024 has been held in more than fifteen cities including Dubai, Hong Kong, Bandung, Singapore, Tirana and Ljubljana, and more recently Double Bind.

He has lectured at the Royal College of Art, London; HEAD, Geneva; Pratt Institute, New York; and Universität der Künste, Berlin. His writing has appeared in Spike Art Magazine, Ocula, Artnet News, Ibraaz and Paletten.
